The Algerian love knot (Arabic: عقدة الحب الجزائرية) is a traditional Algerian pendant-shaped jewelry worn around the neck on a chain. It was particularly popularized by its appearance worn by French actress Eva Green in the famous spy film Casino Royale, released in 2006.

This jewel was well known in the 18th century among Algerian sailors, who made it using three strands or braided ropes, which were flattened immediately after production. They offered it to their wives while sailing the open sea for long periods of time as an eternal bond, love, affection, and a promise of their return. The Knot symbolizes stability and completeness.

The spread of this jewel to other continents can be explained by the voyages of Algerian sailors who sailed the Mediterranean Sea, facilitating trade and cultural exchanges between the peoples of the region. Although versions of the sailor's necklace were made of wire or rope, goldsmiths later began crafting them with precious metals.
